Share your best practice, ground-breaking technology or pioneering research at Europe’s premier event for biosolids and bioresource professionals and practitioners.
The investment requirements resulting from The Industrial Emissions Directive sit high on the immediate priority list of the Bioresources sector. Delivery will strain the supply chain, but we must remain focused too on the longer term where biosolids seem inevitably moving towards advanced thermal conversion.
The landbank is and will become less and less available due to constraints arising from nitrogen and phosphorus application, PFAS and other emerging contaminants.
In any of the possible future scenarios anaerobic digestion looks set to stay, as such advances in the process and supporting assets that deliver more energy, greater throughout and less biosolids are of great interest.
And where does the Circular Economy fit into this mix?
This year’s European Biosolids & Bioresources Conference, as ever, focuses upon the pressing issues facing our industry and practical examples of how the industry is and can meet these challenges.
We invite oral and poster presentations addressing the following hot topics:
2024 Themes
- Measuring & mitigating process emissions – methane and more
- Landbank challenges – PFAS, nitrogen and phosphorus, antimicrobial resistance
- Maximising anaerobic digestion capacity, performance and the value of biogas
- Advanced Thermal Conversion (ATC) processes – char and non char processes
- Advances in thickening, dewatering and liquor treatment technologies
- Realising circular economy opportunities – leveraging the value of technologies (e.g. cellulose, hydrogen)

Technology Suppliers
As this is a technical conference, we encourage talks that share operational experiences. If you are a technology supplier and would like to be considered for an oral presentation, your abstract should include details such as site specifics and performance data. Ideally, the abstract should be presented by an appropriate client.
Student and Early Career Professionals’* Poster Award
The award will be judged and presented during the conference and is open to students and early career professionals under 35 working in the bioresource and biowaste sectors.
This is an opportunity for you to showcase your work to over 300 industry professionals and be in with a chance of winning a monetary prize.
Attending conferences is a great way to improve your professional network and expand your knowledge of the industry. Students and early career professionals are also offered significantly reduced rates.
*Early career professionals must be: an individual working professionally in the wastewater sector for less than 3 years after graduation; or an academic/postgraduate/post doctorate in a permanent position in a UK institution (full or part time), with no more than three years of experience at lecturer level.
