Site visit - Monday 16th November

Severn Trent's Net Zero Hub

This year's site visit will be to Severn Trent's Net Zero Hub at Strongford - the world's first net zero wastewater treatment plant!

Delegates will get a first-hand look at the treatments being deployed to transform bioresources treatment and actively monitor and reduce emissions:

  • Advanced sludge treatment, including Thermal Hydrolysis and enhanced anaerobic digestion to maximise biogas production and improve biosolids quality.
  • Biogas and biomethane recovery - how energy generated from sludge is captured and put to use.
  • Methane emissions monitoring, including treatment processes designed to reduce residual methane from digested sludge.
  • Resources recovery from sludge, including biosolids production and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.

The visit offered will provide an opportunity to see how net-zero ambition is being turned into practical, scalable solutions - and why Strongford site is becoming a blue print for future wastewater and bioresources operations.

Please note the visit is only available to conference attendees. Booking opening soon...
