In times of climate change and high energy prices, resource efficient design is more in demand than ever. Focus on energy efficient sewage sludge drying means the flexible use of various waste heat sources, temperature and heat recovery. Waste heat is usually cost-effective and has a positive impact on the CO2 balance. The utilisation of different energy sources and temperature levels as well as the possibility to recover heat at several points in the process have characterised HUBER dryers for many years. In some realised projects we'll show the flexibility and adaptability of waste heat utilisation with a two-temperature zone dryer and the utilisation of energy from wastewater.
We'll update on our experiences as part of ATC solution projects and how we intend to meet the predicted demand for sewage sludge drying with further development of exciting and innovative plug & play drying technologies for wastewater treatment plants with 20,000 to 50,000 PE. How about a dryer without the exhaust air issue, with efficiencies of around 0.5 kW/kgWVD?
