Sidath Gedara is the Agricultural Services and Environmental Regulatory Assurance (ERA) Manager at United Utilities, leading agricultural advisory, field management, and environmental regulatory teams responsible for the safe, sustainable, and compliant recycling of biosolids to agricultural land. With nearly two decades of experience in the wastewater and biosolids sector, he works closely with farmers, regulators, and industry stakeholders to maximise the environmental and agricultural value of treated sewage sludge as a sustainable organic fertiliser.

Coming from a farming background, Sidath holds a degree in Agriculture and a Master's degree in Environment and Development. He is FACTS qualified and holds BASIS certification in Soil and Water Management from Harper Adams University. His expertise spans nutrient management, sustainable land use, environmental compliance, biosolids recycling, and emerging environmental risks. Drawing on both agricultural and regulatory perspectives, he brings practical insight to discussions on antimicrobial resistance and the future of sustainable biosolids management.
