Description
The innovative HUBER Cold Air Dryer HPS® has been developed to efficiently, safely & cost-effectively dry sewage sludge. Five different sizes of ready to operate, modular containers are available.
The HPS® is specifically designed for small to medium sized sewage treatment plants - 10,000 to 50,000 P.E. with a sludge volume of up to 3,000 tonnes per annum.
If there is no source of waste heat for drying but surplus electricity is available, for example from a solar PV system, the HPS® really comes into its own – It can be delivered fully assembled in a container or can easily be installed within an existing building.

Using integrated Heat Pumps the HPS® operates at low temperature & requires no additional thermal energy.
In tandem with the HUBER Q-PRESS® we can provide turnkey sludge dewatering & drying solutions that can easily be integrated into existing wastewater treatment plants.
We will provide details from a case study of first HPS® installation including energy consumption, water evaporation etc. backed up by typical OPEX costs & CO2 saved relative to transport costs.
