MEHS has developed a biological treatment system for the disposal of animal slurries and or anaerobic digestate. The process involves dewatering, treatment using dissolved air floatation and biological treatment using membrane bio-reactor. The effluent will be discharge via a sub-surface irrigation system with a discharge of 30 m3/Ha/day and the land will be used as a Nutrient Management Plan with limits applied to ensure total Nitrogen of less than 170 kg/Ha/year and Phosphorus < 10 Kg/Ha/year.
